Hello Disney Friends!
One of the most frequently asked questions I get is WHERE SHOULD I STAY.
Which is a great question...but there are many variables and I wanted you to have this resource to come back to so...BLOG POST IT IS.
Before I begin, no matter where you stay, I ALWAYS recommend using getawaytoday.com. If there is a discount, they will get it for you, it's a FREE concierge service and you can use my code HAPPY10 to save ten bucks Hoorah!
He's so cute. |
First and foremost, only you know your Disney budget! Stick to it! It's not fun memories if you come home and have anxiety for the next 2 years over how much you spent lol.
There are tons of different options, so find the one that works best for you!
I am going to share with you the THREE Disney resorts, then the TEN closest off property (walking distance!) hotels :) Let's do this!
Disney Resort Hotels
There are THREE Disney resorts you can stay at Disneyland.
Only ONE is CONNECTED* to the park (you exit the Grand Californian Hotel into California Adventure). The other two hotels are walking distance entering through Downtown Disney!
A Disney resort has a special type of magic. When traveling to WDW I recommend a Disney resort, but when at Disneyland, in my opinion it's just a really fun perk. If it's not in your budget, this is what I would skip.
That being said! If you want to splurge and experience the Disney resort magic, you're in for a treat.
As an adult, when we splurge, we ALWAYS pick the Grand Californian, because you're IN the park. It's pretty special. And a game changer with kids. But it's gonna set you back!
We always book when the rates are at their lowest (around $500/night) and we always use getawaytoday.com for extra savings. Disney will often do "up to 25% off" for off seasons, so book then to snag a lower rate!
