Best Hotel to choose for your DISNEYLAND TRIP!

Hello Disney Friends!

One of the most frequently asked questions I get is WHERE SHOULD I STAY.
Which is a great question...but there are many variables and I wanted you to have this resource to come back to so...BLOG POST IT IS.

Before I begin, no matter where you stay, I ALWAYS recommend using getawaytoday.com. If there is a discount, they will get it for you, it's a FREE concierge service and you can use my code HAPPY10 to save ten bucks Hoorah!

He's so cute.

First and foremost, only you know your Disney budget! Stick to it! It's not fun memories if you come home and have anxiety for the next 2 years over how much you spent lol.

There are tons of different options, so find the one that works best for you!

I am going to share with you the THREE Disney resorts, then the TEN closest off property (walking distance!) hotels :) Let's do this!

Disney Resort Hotels

There are THREE Disney resorts you can stay at Disneyland.
Only ONE is CONNECTED* to the park (you exit the Grand Californian Hotel into California Adventure). The other two hotels are walking distance entering through Downtown Disney!

A Disney resort has a special type of magic. When traveling to WDW I recommend a Disney resort, but when at Disneyland, in my opinion it's just a really fun perk. If it's not in your budget, this is what I would skip.

That being said! If you want to splurge and experience the Disney resort magic, you're in for a treat.
As an adult, when we splurge, we ALWAYS pick the Grand Californian, because you're IN the park. It's pretty special. And a game changer with kids. But it's gonna set you back!

We always book when the rates are at their lowest (around $500/night) and we always use getawaytoday.com for extra savings. Disney will often do "up to 25% off" for off seasons, so book then to snag a lower rate!

1. Disney Grand Californian*

Weekdays $500-$600/night. Weekends $700-$750/night.
Connected to the park, early entrance with a shorter line!

2. Disneyland Hotel

Weekdays (or booking far in advance) $470-$550/night. Weekends $507-$607/night.
Walking distance, but not connected to the park.

3. Paradise Pier

Weekdays (or booking far in advance) $380-$400/night. Weekends $400-$440/night.
Walking distance, but not connected to the park.

Neighboring Hotels

Here's the fun part about Disneyland. There are SO MANY neighboring hotels!!!! Great prices and walking distance to the park! On this map, I marked 10 of the CLOSEST walking distance hotels for you! We actually always stay at #1 (the farthest on the map, a Hilton we have points for) and it's an 8 minute walk, so so close!
Some of these hotels can be as low as $137 a night!

1. Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim Resort + Home2 Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resorts (on Manchester)
2. Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground
3. Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance
4. Anaheim Camelot Inn + Suites
5. Tropicana Inn + Suites
6. Best Western Plus Park Place Inn + Mini Suites
7. Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn
8. Grand Legacy at the Park
9. Fairfield Inn Marriott by Anaheim Resort
10. Castle Inn (Right off the corner of Disney Way + Harbor Blvd)

Remember! Book your hotels and tickets with GET AWAY TODAY to know your getting the best deal! You can use code HAPPY10 for any packages for $10 off :)

These are the 10 closest hotels to the park, all within 10 minutes away! The bolded hotels are DIRECTLY across from the entrance, so it doesn't get closer than those :)

There are more walking distance hotels (just work your way out and stay on Harbor street).
Farther away you get, the less expensive these hotels can be.

If you don't stay walking distance...don't forget my pro tip!

Instead of parking at Disneyland parking for $25 and a LONG walk. Valet at the Tropicana (or any hotel on this street)! They just raised their price from $30 to $40 but it's a no brainer. You have access in and out all day, AND you are RIGHT at the entrance :)

No matter where you stay, your trip will be filled with DISNEY MAGIC! Now start planning your trip!

With love, Kelsie
